Warriors Drop OT Decision to MCC

Marshalltown, IA -- The Indian Hills soccer team went on the road Tuesday and lost in overtime to Marshalltown CC, 3-2.

The Warriors didn't trail until MCC's Ignacio Bello scored the game-winner with just under a minute gone by in OT.

Despite being outshot, 19-5, the Warriors hung in against the Tigers.  IHCC got on the board first when Andy Hardine scored six minutes into the opening half.  Bello scored not long after that to tie the match at 1-all.

Indian Hills got their second one-goal lead when Brady Anderson scored on a penalty kick in the second half.  Anderson was tackled in the box by the Tigers' goalkeeper, who challenged on the scoring opportunity but failed to stop the shot.

However, Marshalltown's Javier Lopez tied the score at 2 with a goal moments later.

Both teams had their chances over the rest of regulation time, with a couple of shots off the post late, before the contest went to overtime.

Indian Hills is now 2-8-3 overall and 1-5 in conference games.  They'll host Iowa Central on Saturday.
