Warriors Sign Albia's Anderson

OTTUMWA --- An area soccer player who helped lead his team to the state tournament has signed a national letter-of-intent to attend Indian Hills Community College. IHCC coach Doug Seigle says Brady Anderson from Albia will join the Warriors in the fall.

Anderson captained the Albia High School team that qualified for the state tourney for the second year in a row and was ranked 9th in the state with a 15-5 record.
The forward/midfielder scored 20 goals and had 12 assists for the Blue Demons who were beaten by MOC/Floyd Valley at the state tournament.

“Brady is an exciting, versatile player who can play several different positions and will immediately compete for a starting position for the Warriors,” said Seigle. “He has a great nose for the goal and can create scoring opportunities with his work both on and off the ball around the goal.

Seigle describes Anderson as a tireless worker in games and in his training who brings out the best in his teammates. “I believe Brady is one of the top players in southeast Iowa and we are excited he is bringing his talents to Indian Hills,” said Seigle.

The IHCC men’s soccer team was 9-8 last fall, the best record in the program’s short history. The Warriors notched their first-ever postseason win and set numerous team records.
