Warriors Just Miss National Ranking

Ottumwa -- People around the country have taken notice of the fast start by the Indian Hills' men's soccer team. The Warriors, 5-0 for far this season, just missed being ranked in this week's NJCAA poll.

The Warriors were one of six teams that received votes, but not enough to make it into the top 20.

One of the Iowa teams that is ranked, NIACC, will be the Warriors' next opponent. Indian Hills will host NIACC on Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Walsh Soccer Complex in Ottumwa.

Not only is Indian Hills undefeated this fall, but the Warriors, thanks to outstanding goalkeeping by sophomore Marcus Filgueiras, are unscored upon as well.

The other Iowa school ranked in this week's top 20 is Iowa Western, rated 5th in Division I.
