Ottumwa, IA -- Iowa Western CC scored on two penalty kicks and that was the difference in the Reivers' ICCAC regional matchup with Indian Hills on Saturday at the Walsh Soccer Complex. The final was 3-1.
Iowa Western notched the first goal just five minutes into the match to take an early lead. They added the first of the two penalty kick goals later in the opening half. IHCC got on the scoreboard on a goal by Peter Grossenkemper, a freshman from Ft. Madison, in the final half, but IWCC answered with a goal in the 80th minute for the final margin.
Indian Hills is now 0-2 for the season and returns to action at home against Dakota County on Sept. 16.
